Nicotine salt liquids reviews: tested in Scotland: Checklist
Nicotine salt liquids advice for Scotland, covering spare parts, what to look for and where the trade-offs actually sit.
Anyone who has compared nicotine salt liquids options in Scotland quickly learns that specification lists only tell part of the story. The 3.5 ml capacity is a genuinely useful middle ground: enough liquid for a long session without turning the device into a pocket problem.
Local availability in Scotland shapes the practical answer more than the marketing does. The 3.5 ml capacity is a genuinely useful middle ground: enough liquid for a long session without turning the device into a pocket problem.
The included spare coils are useful for the first fortnight, after which you will be ordering your own. What surprised us most was how little the 1.4 Ω mesh coil changes the draw character compared with the 35:65 PG/VG liquid sitting in the chamber. The Matte Sand finish hides fingerprints far better than the gloss options, which matters more than it sounds on a device handled daily.
The 3.5 ml capacity is a genuinely useful middle ground: enough liquid for a long session without turning the device into a pocket problem. Expect roughly 592 full puffs from a charge at 6 mg/ml, based on average session length in our testing. Delivery across Scotland is typically two to four working days with tracked dispatch, and returns are straightforward within the standard window.
Charging over Type-C fast charge takes about 49 from empty, and the pass-through means the device can be used while plugged in on the smaller batteries. Two things to check before ordering: the Type-C fast charge socket on the base and whether the 1.4 Ω mesh coil is the newer generation. Battery behaviour is where the AEKU Slim earns its keep: the 1000 mAh cell holds a usable charge for most of a day at 60 and recharges over Type-C fast charge.
If you take one thing from this page, make it the coil compatibility check. A device that needs a coil you cannot source locally becomes an expensive ornament within a month. The throat hit is noticeably firmer than a 35:65 PG/VG blend, so if you prefer a smoother draw, mix accordingly. Pricing in Scotland shifts with import duty, so the figures here reflect current GBP rates rather than a fixed list price.

Flavour and performance notes
A representative profile is Lemon Lime Soda: citrusy, crisp, described as zesty lemon over lime with gentle carbonation. On a 35:65 PG/VG ratio this reads clearly on the first day and holds its character to roughly the 1.4 Ω mesh mark before the coil begins to mute it.
Practical considerations in Scotland
Availability in Scotland is the factor that decides most outcomes here. Confirm the 1.4 Ω mesh and the Type-C fast charge are both in stock before committing, and check that the 510 thread matches your existing device if you already own hardware. Duty and GBP rates move, so treat prices as current rather than fixed.
